Application Submission
Applications must be submitted to the Japanese embassy or consulate in the applicant’s home country. Applicants should refer to the MEXT website for specific instructions on how to submit their applications.
After the initial screening, shortlisted applicants may be invited for an interview. Interviews are typically conducted in Japanese, but may be conducted in English in some cases.
Note: The application process can be competitive, and only a limited number of scholarships are awarded each year.
